Mukundi began in 2015, when three friends — Tendai Simbarashe Rusere, Kingsley Simbarashe Mushave and Tapiwanashe Mudamburi — started building something of their own alongside their studies.

Friendship became brotherhood, and a side project became a shared ambition: to create a business they could be proud of, together. The founders' early work included projects with Midlands State University, Cavendish Lloyd, Southbound Logistics and Aquarium Trading — a practical foundation in understanding a requirement, coordinating people and resources, and taking responsibility for the result.

Business operations later paused. The relationship endured. The founders pursued their careers, taking on responsibilities across logistics, procurement, sales, research and supply chain management in Zimbabwe, South Africa and the Netherlands.

Today, they are bringing that experience back to Mukundi. The renewed business combines the trust of a family with the discipline expected of a professional procurement partner: clear commitments, sound commercial decisions and accountable delivery.
